In preparation for the violent arguments I’m sure will break out over our topic for the Lichtenbergian Society Annual Meeting, I suggest everyone take 25 minutes and watch this.

Man. I’d forgotten all about this guy. I used to watch him on PBS. How long has it been?
Longer than you think. Wikipedia here.
I found this part of the wiki the most interesting:
In March 2006, AGFRAG Entertainment Group announced that it was in the process of developing a Bob Ross game for the Nintendo DS and Wii systems, as well as a PC version. The games were said to focus on the art of painting, based on Ross’ Joy of Painting series.[2] In December 2006, Bob Ross Incorporated dropped AGFRAG from the project and began searching for a new developer.
Interesting given the earlier comments regarding art, video games, and such. Perhaps if this comes out, we will have to have a meeting of the cohort at my house to evaluate the game on the wii…
I wouldn’t put it out there in a public forum that you own a Wii. Don’t include your address. You might get mobbed by soccer moms.
F— YES! My sister and I used to watch this guy every day after school!
Why did you want us to watch this video?
Remind me to answer your question on Saturday night.
I TOLD you guys that video games are high art!

Um, Jeff, I’d like you to pay very close attention to the discussion on Saturday night, okay? Thnx.
Our daughter has had a “Happy Trees!” t-shirt for years. And so?…We are to see this as a grand new discovery why…?
The grand ole man of wet on wet was Bill Alexander: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hawf7zdJR54
Both his and Ross’s show, along with The Galloping Gourmet and Wally’s Workshop, got many of us through some difficult years.
I didn’t say it was a grand new discovery, I just asked everyone to watch it. I actually assumed everyone had encountered Mr. Ross before.
